Lauren was a participant in the prestigious Hans Gabor Belvedere competition in Vienna, Austria in July, 2007. After doing the preliminary round in New York, she advanced to the quarter-finals in Vienna.

Lauren was a district winner in the Philadelphia Metropolitan Opera National Council competition in February 2007. She performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. with eleven other finalists on February 24th.
